No. It is a bolt‑on hinge system. Minor inner‑fender trimming is needed so the swing arm clears, but no welding.

Will my C8 frunk lid clear when the doors are up?

Yes—on 19/20 inch front‑wheel setups the hinge geometry keeps the frunk path clear.

How long does DIY installation take?

Blake installed vertical doors on my 2023 2LT

These vertical doors were so with the wait not that I really had to wait too long! Blake did the install. He was professional and above all a real nice guy! I only wish I had cleaned out my garage better! He definitely had his hands full but never said a word! I just can’t say enough good things about him!
